------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description of CHINON03.SYS in CONFIG.SYS ------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHINON03.SYS is the CD-ROM device driver used with the Chinon host adapter cards. It must be included in a DEVICE statement within the MS-DOS CONFIG.SYS file: DEVICE=\\CHINON03.SYS /D: /N: /A: : the pathname of the directory containing the CHINON03.SYS file : the name of device (up to eight characters) : the number of CD-ROM drives connected : I/O base address of the host adapter, described in hexadecimal notation. If /A: is omitted, the port address will be set to 300 (the factory default value) automatically. Notes: When installing more than one CD-ROM drive in your system, each drive must have a different drive ID. Remember that after changing CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT, you must reboot your system (by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del) for these changes to take affect. -------------- Copyright(C) 1990-1992 CHINON Industries Inc. -----------
