LC.PPE - List Callers File PPE Written By Dan Shore - SysOp The Shoreline BBS (301) 946-2771 January 30, 1996 Purpose: List the callers file for any node (just like PCB), but added features include: Display backwards (newest to oldest date), Display forwards (oldest to newest date), Return to MENU to select another file to view, jump (search) to a string in the callers file (highlights found string), & Change display direction on the fly. Installation ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ 1. Make changes to your CDM.LST file to add one or both of the following entries. If you wish to retain the PCB function for listing the callers files, then omit the entry for SysOp command #13. With just the "LC" entry, you can have two ways to list your callers files. Charges Per PPE/MNU File Specification -or- Command Sec Minute Use Keystroke Substitution ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ ÍÍÍ ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ 13 110 0 0 C:\PCB\PPE\CALLER\LC.PPE LC 110 0 0 C:\PCB\PPE\CALLER\LC.PPE 2. Edit the LC.CFG file. Each line in the LC.CFG represents the node number (line #1 = Node #1). Enter the FULL PATH AND FILENAME of the callers file for that node. That's it, you are finished installing LC.PPE! Enjoy! Limitations of LC.PPE ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ The only limitation of LC.PPE are: A. When a user is online and: - entries for the callers file are still in memory and have not been written to the disk file yet - hence LC.PPE will not display them. You will notice if you use PCBoard SysOp 13 command and then LC.PPE you may see a different display by 3-5 lines or more. Again this is due to the lines still residing in memory and have not been written to the callers file on disk. B. This PPE will only display in 23 line mode and does not support 50 line mode at this time.
