Registration, warranty and license information can be found in the Windows HLP files. VENDOR REQUIREMENTS: Anyone distributing TC's Toolbox for any kind of remuneration must first contact Specific Applications Software at P.O. Box 6146 Minneapolis, MN 55406 for authorization. This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering TC's Toolbox immediately (However Specific Applications Software must still be advised so that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of TC's Toolbox). DISTRIBUTION MEDIA: The setup files must be on the 1st disk for the setup program to work. These files are SETUP.EXE, SETUP.LST, SETUP1.EXE, VER.DLL, VBRUN300.DLL and SETUPKIT.DLL. Program, help and support files can be on either the first disk or other disks. The setup program will prompt for another disk to be inserted after it has installed all the required files it could find on the current disk. This will continue until all the files have been installed. This makes it possible to distribute this software on disk from 360K on up. Most of the files will have the understrike as the last file extension character indicating that they are compressed. The setup program will automatically uncompress these files during installation. NOTE: Please do not substitute your own installation program unless absolutely necessary. The setup program included checks .DLLs and .VBX files for the most current versions so that if a user already has a newer version of a file it will not overwrite it. This saves installation time and prevents future compatibility problems. PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS & REQUIREMENTS: (1) LONG Description TC's Toolbox v2.2 is a collection of nine Windows programs. Any of these programs would be worth the low registration fee by themselves and would make a excellent addition to any system running Windows. These programs are: Hex FileView: can view any file up to one gigabyte in size. Features include: Playing sound files (WAV, RMI & MID), viewing picture files (BMP, ICO & WMF), listing files contained in ARC and ZIP files, printing files in the viewer format, show disk and system information, change file dates/times and attributes, search for character and hexadecimal byte strings, compare files and display both files if they differ, context senstive help, and more. FontView: can display the entire character set of any loaded font all at the same time. It can also display a list of loaded fonts grouped by family and show font infomation such as family, type, weight, etc. The characteristics of the currently viewed font can be changed from the control bar. These characteristics are bold, italic, strikethrough, underline and point size. System Monitor: Monitors Windows system resources with alarms that can be set when resources run low. The active display shows System, GDI, User, free memory, date, time and Windows session time. Big Cal: displays an entire month on screen with special events such as holidays and birthdays that you choose. It includes five types of events: Yearly, Monthly, Weekly, Multiple of weekday and One day of one year. Prints yearly or monthly calendars. Phone Dialer: dials phone numbers using a modem and supports dialing 0-9, a-d, * and #. A special feature allows inserting pauses in the dialing sequence and converting letters into numbers such as dialing 1-800-THE-TIME. Phone Dialer includes a call timer for timing the length of your phone calls and can be set to automatic to start the timer when a number is dialed. Text Editor: This is a small text file editor that has search and replace capabilities and the display font, font color and size can be changed to a users preference. Code Reference: This program displays a list of commonly used information such as a list of file name extensions, the more common AT commands for modems and the ANSI and ASCII character sets. Stopwatch: displays elapsed time in miliseconds, seconds, minutes and hours. Contains four storage areas for lap times that can store up to 999 times in each. Save It!: used to save text and bitmaps from the clipboard to a .TXT or .BMP file. This makes it possible to save text or an image in a format recognized by other Windows programs instead of having to start up another application to paste the data. This is especially useful with bitmaps since just the copied image is saved and can be worked on as a separate smaller picture sized as it was originally cut or copied.
