This version is a RELACEMENT for the following older versions:
    AVIVIEW2.ZIP, AVIVIEW3.ZIP, AVIVIEW4.ZIP, AVIVIE41.ZIP, AVIVIE41.UUE

SUMMARY:
	-Windows 3.1x Multimedia Application
	-Plays Microsoft *.AVI files.
	-Plays QuickTime *.MOV files.
	-Shrink / Enlarge Picture
	-Loop Video Clip.
	-Variable Step Back / Step Forward Amount.

REQUIREMENTS:
	-MS Windows 3.1 running at 640x480x256 (or better) Video Mode.
	-MS Video For Windows Runtime (VFW11D.EXE or newer) to play *.AVI movies.

	-Quick Time For Windows Runtime (QTW11.ZIP or newer) to play *.MOV Movies.
			FILE: QTW11.ZIP

			DIR: /Web/Mosaic/Windows/viewers

*NOTE:  The Quick Time Runtime is not needed unless you plan to view *.MOV files.

RECOMMENDED:
	-AVI accelerating video card like:
		Video Logic's 928Movie or ATI Graphics Pro Turbo.
	-800x600x65536 video mode (or better).
	-75Hz vertical refresh rate (or better).
	-For best Intel INDEO Video quality, I suggest the
	 Intel INDEO Runtime (IV32RT.EXE or newer) available at:

		FILE: IV32RT.EXE
		SITE: ftp.intel.com
		DIR:  /pub/PCandNetworkSupport/Smart_Video_Recorder

	 This runtime, if you choose to install it, must be
	 installed AFTER the MS Video for Windows.

* In general, the better the hardware, the smoother & bigger
  the AVI playback is.  (You probably already knew that)

INSTALLATION:
	1) Install the MS Video for Windows Runtime.
	2) If available, install the Intel INDEO Runtime.
	3) If available, install the Quick Time For Windows Runtime.
		When you UnZIP QTW11.ZIP, read the
		installation instructions in README.TXT.
	4) UnZIP the AVIVIE42.ZIP file on a diskette or any hard drive
	    directory EXCEPT the one pointed to by TEMP and/or TMP in your
	    AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
		i.e.
		  If there's a line in your AUTOEXEC like:
		  SET TEMP=C:\TEMP or SET TMP=C:\TEMP
		  then DON'T UnZIP the file in C:\TEMP !!!
	5) Run the SETUP.EXE you just uncompressed.

* After installation is complete, it's a good idea to set the
  AVI View item's WORKING DIRECTORY property in the PROGRAM
  MANAGER to your AVI directory.
