This disclaimer of warranty constitutes an essential part of the agreement. 1.2 The MAP Library ---------------------- Given a location in latitude and longitude, the position will be displayed on a map representing the world. 2. Installing and Removing the MAP Library --------------------------------------------- The MAP library requires at least 2K to install. 2.1 Installing -------------- a) send the library to the HP48 b) put a copy of the library on the stack c) enter the port number to store the library (0-33 GX, 0-2 SX) d) at this point, press [STO] e) perform a warmstart with [ON][C] or turn on and off the HP48 f) erase the variable containing the library. eg. 'MAP10.LIB' PURGE 2.3 Bytes and Checksum ---------------------- Bytes: 1928.5 Checksum: # 6391h 2.4 Removing the Library ------------------------- a) :0: 1009 DETACH b) :0: 1009 PURGE Depending on which port number the MAP library was stored, :0: in the above example can be replaced by the appropriate port number. 3. Usage -------- 3.1 Commands ------------ FIND - starts the following input screen Enter Coordinates: LAT(-south,+north), LONG(-west,+east) | | | | | | | Enter the coordinates of a location you wish to locate in DMS(degrees,minutes,seconds) format. Not decimal DMS format! Enter coordinate on the same line separated by a space between latitude and longitude. Valid coordinates for latitude are -90 00' 00'' to +90 00' 00'' and valid coordinates for longitude are -180 00' 00'' to +180 00' 00''. Press [ENTER] after you have entered a coordinate and search for a flashing pixel on the map display. This will show the location for the coordinate you just entered. Example: Vancouver, BC in Canada. 49 09' 00'', -123 04' 12'' Enter Coordinates: LAT(-south,+north), LONG(-west,+east) 49.09 -123.0412 | | | | | | | Press [ON] to exit.
