*************************************************************************** * * * La Mine aux DIAMANTS * * v 1.1 * * A HP 48 game created by Lilian PIGALLIO * * in January 1994 * * ON S(X) & G(X) * *************************************************************************** After the superb but very boring Runway 2, those who haven't seen it don't know what they're missing, here's a new game (programmed in assembler of course) which should be more interesting. I've called it "La Mine aux Diamants v1.1" or "The Diamond Mine v1.1" for all those that speak lousy French. As you'll notice I haven't called it "Boulder Dash" because that name has already been used. For those of you that are familiar with Boulder Dash go ahead and play. For the others try and find a "Boulder Dash" player who can tell you how to play. Well as I'm in a good mood, here's a small summary of how to play: * Your mission is to collect the amount of diamonds necessary to pass each level * Watch out for the monsters that you will have to avoid or exterminate with rocks to free your path * Also be wary of falling rocks and non sustained rocks that will flatten you mercilessly That's all as far as the rules are concerned. Now its your intelligence and agility that will make the difference. Details about the game: It needs RFU because the screens and scenery are compressed. The game isn't compressed but if you wish to do so it will work but will also take quite a long while to decompress. Furthermore, the next scenery version will not work with a compressed game. When you access the first screen with an animation, just press any key to continue. The second screen informs you about the version number of the scenery (the small pastille at the top of the screen), the number of the mine, the number of lives and the amount of diamonds to collect with the time left to collect them. You will also see a menu. During the game the movement keys are: 8 4 6 2 That's right, the same ones as in PACMAN that every HP player should know. The drop key can also be used to pause a game. It will return you to the main menu with the following choices: DEBUT: to restart the level (if your miner gets stuck) but you will loose 1 life CONTINU: to continue to game where it was paused I haven't forgotten those who asked me for a RUNWAY 2 editor. I therefore won't give one for RUNWAY 2 but I have made one for this game: read the EDITOR documentation. This game is a SodOffIfYouDon'tPayTheFeeWare program. This means that, if you wish to keep your conscience clean, you really ought to consider sending me (the author) the paltry sum of $5 or 30 FF (only notes, no coins) to the following address: PIGALLIO Lilian 170 Impasse du Picarrou 06140 Tourrettes sur Loup FRANCE or pigallio@essi.cerisi.fr Many thanks to those whom without their help, none of this would have been possible: DELORME Flavien alias FLAHP for the graphics LUTZ VIEWEG for Redundance Fighter v1.20 Thanks to Jean-Christophe Mc Keown for the translation of this document from French to English. If you wish you may also send him $5. His address is: Jean-Christophe MC KEOWN 2074 Bd des Termes Le Mas d'Albion 06210 Mandelieu FRANCE I reserve all rights for this game and any future modifications of the game or it's scenery files. Sod all those niggardly people that play without paying the $5 and those who try to sell the game. /--------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | / /---\ / / /----| | ||||||| Lilian PIGALLIO | | / / / / / / / | | o o | E.S.S.I. | | /---\ /--- / |--- / /----/ | (| ^ |) Sophia-Antipolis | | / / / / / / | | --- | FRANCE | | / / / / |----/ | \___/ e-MAIL (1992-93): | | and only this calculator | pigallio@essi.cerisi.fr | \____________________________________________________________________________/
