This installation guide describes: o How to use EZStart to copy the FP PC/TCP version 1.2 for OS/2 driver files from the SuperDisk to your PC. o How to prepare your PC's operating system so you can attach to the network. COPYING THE DRIVER FILES From the Driver Installation screen, select 'Copy Files' to copy all the files used by this driver from the SuperDisk to the Destination Directory recommended by EZStart, or to a different directory that you specify. PREPARING YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM 1. Use any text editor to modify your CONFIG.SYS file to include the following device statement for SMC8000.OS2: DEVICE=C:\PCTCP\DRV\SMC8000.OS2 2. Use any text editor to make the following changes to the PROTOCOL.INI file created by FTP in the C:\PCTCP\DRV subdirectory: [SOCKET] Drivername = $socket Bindings = SMC8000 [SMC8000] Drivername = SMC8000$ The PC/TCP setup program, TCPINST, is located on the PC/TCP Install Disk 1. The chapter entitled "Installing PC/TCP" in the PC/TCP 1.2 Installation Guide contains complete instructions for using TCPINST.
