MAR. 1994 NetWare Driver Installation =========================== The NetWare driver programs on this diskette are for use with the D-Link DE-650 PCMCIA Ethernet Card. This diskette is labeled as LAN_DRV_DLK and the files are organized as follows: Directory Contents -------------- -------------------------------------------------------- \NECPC\NETWARE A pre-generated IPXnec65.COM \NECPC\NETWARE\ODI.DOS ODI workstation driver for DOS ********************************* * QUICK SETUP FOR WORKSTATION * ********************************* A pre-generated workstation driver IPXNEC65.COM is included on this diskette. You can simply run the IPXNEC65 on a workstation to access the Novell network: >IPXNEC65 --Supports NetWare Lite, 2.1x, 2.2 or NetWare 386. >NETx --This program is provided by Novell. ************************ * NETWARE LITE USERS * ************************ 1) Follow the normal installation procedure as instructed by NetWare Lite. When asked to select a network driver, simply choose "NOVELL NE2000". 2) After the installation is completed, modify the STARTNET.BAT file as follows: From: --------------------------- LSL NE2000 IPXODI A CLIENT To: ---------------- NCD LSL NEC65ODI IPXODI CLIENT NCD.EXE NCD.EXE is an open adapter utility. NCD.EXE supports NEC 9821 notebook. For more detail information, please refer to \NECPC\INSTALL.DOC. 3) Copy \NECPC\NETWARE\ODI.DOS\NET.CFG file to NWLITE sub-directory which was created when you installed NetWare Lite. 4) You may now run STARTNET to access the NetWare network. ********************** * ODI DRIVER SETUP * ********************** ODI Workstation for DOS ======================= D-Link ODI Driver program allows you to run multiple protocl stacks. It also allows you to install up to two network adapters in a workstation. D-Link ODI driver supports "port, node address, protocol and frame" options. You can use these options to create your own NET.CFG file. For detailed info on Keywords, please refer to Novell's manual "NetWare ODI shell for DOS - NET.CFG options". 1) Copy the NEC65ODI.COM file (from this diskette) to the directory which contains Novell's LSL.COM, IPXODI.COM and NETx.COM files. 2) Follow Novell's instructions on using the ODI programs.
