This disk contains the Beta Version (0.92) DynaLink program for installing the flicker free parameters for your ProDesigner/e and ProDesigner II. The DynaLink can also be used to center the screen in high resolution modes to tailor for your monitor. To install the Dynalink on your hard disk, copy the necessary files from the floppy diskette to the hard disk. Use the DOS COPY command to copy the following files: STD_MODE.DAT DynaLink.COM If you have a ProDesigner/e with Bios Version 1.x, copy the following file from the floppy drive to your Hard drive: EXT_MOD1.DAT For the ProDesigner/e with BIOS Version 2.x, copy the following file from the floppy drive to your Hard drive: EXT_MOD2.DAT If you have a ProDesigner II with Bios Version 3.x, copy the following file from drive A to your Hard drive: EXT_MOD3.DAT For the ProDesigner II with BIOS Version 4.x, copy the following file from drive A to your Hard drive: EXT_MOD4.DAT NOTE: The BIOS Version is displayed on the ORCHID LOGO boot-up message. You can then install the DynaLink by typing the command: DYNALINK -i Please refer to section below for details explanation of the parameters. REQUIREMENT: 1. For ProDesigner II you will need the BIOS version 3.1 or above. 2. To run the flicker free 800x600 in 70Hz with the ProDesigner/e, you must have 512k of video card memory. DynaLink Screen Parameters: ---------------------------------- DynaLink.Com can be called with these parameters: -i : Install the DynaLink.Com and modify the autoexec.bat file in the specified drive. -u : Uninstall DynaLink.Com from the Autoexec.bat file (automatically delete the "DynaLink -on" line from the Autoexec.bat file). -on : Load the DynaLink flicker free Parameter into memory. Remember that DynaLink must be installed prior to using this command (DynaLink -i) to insure that the proper Ext_Modx.Dat file is accessed. -off : Reset to the standard ProDesigner (II or /e) BIOS Parameter. If, for some reason, you have problems running a particular program you may want to use the original ProDesigner (II or /e) BIOS parameter. The "DynaLink -off" parameter will turn off the flicker free parameters with parameters in the BIOS. -s : This is the DynaLink status flag. It will report any optional flicker free parameters that have been installed.
