--  ATI BUILDING BLOCK FOR PATHWAY FROM WOLLONGONG MANUAL  --

ATI Building Block for PathWay from Wollongong, hereafter called 
Building Block, provides an SNMP agent and TCP/IP transport for 
your PC.

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO INSTALL THIS PRODUCT IF:

    --You are not planning to use your workstation as either an 
      SNMP network management console or an SNMP managed node.

    --You have the TCP/IP transport already installed on your PC.  
      This product functions with the Wollongong TCP/IP transport 
      only.

    --You are using Windows NT or NTAS.  This installation 
      requires NDIS 2.0 support which has been replaced by NDIS 
      3.0 for NT.In addition Windows for Workgroups installation 
      must include NDIS 2.0 support and installations supporting 
      the NDIS 3.0 Enhanced Mode driver only must be changed prior 
      to this installation.

The on-line manual for ATI Building Block consists of five files.  
They are:

READFRST.TXT--this file.

OVERVIEW.TXT--a product overview.  Contains a description of the 
component parts of Building Block, how they interact with each 
other, how they interact with network management tools, and the 
structure of the network interface hardware and software.  
Included also is a quick command summary.

SIMPLE.TXT--a guide to a simple SNMP driver installation.  
Contains a description of the simplest possible installation, 
which gives you an SNMP Agent, and allows you to use the included 
STAT, WINSTAT, PING and WINPING tools.

EXTEND.TXT--a guide to an extended function SNMP installation.  
The installation adds support for user name and host name 
translation, and allows modification of TCP/IP session parameters 
in addition to the features included in SIMPLE.TXT.

SNMP.TXT--an extensive treatment of network management with SNMP 
and the Building Block tools.  Contains a comprehensive 
description of the interaction between the tools PING, WINPING, 
STAT and WINSTAT and the management information base (MIB) 
variables.
