I hope this message will address your questions about support for Word 6.0 Windows files in
Grammatik 6.0 Windows, and make clear what your options are.

We are working with Microsoft to secure the Word 6.0 for Windows documentation, but we have
not yet been provided with that information.  Our developers are hard at work trying to develop
that support on their own, a very difficult task.  At present I cannot say when we will offer direct
support for Word 6.0 for Windows.

With the initial release of Grammatik 6.0 for Windows we are offering a workaround that may
serve your needs.  A Winword macro will save your document as an RTF file, start Grammatik,
check the document, and then reopen it in Word for Windows.  The macro will be installed as a
menu item on the Tools menu.  This method will work for most but not all documents.  We hope
you understand that we are doing everything possible to serve your needs.

We believe that WordPerfect Corporation offers the best support for Writing Tools in the
software industry, including grammar checking and electronic dictionaries, in products which
support the Writing Tools API.  You may want to consider requesting that Microsoft support this
open API, a standard which allows any writing tools vendor to create an integrated writing tools
application without access to proprietary information.  This API is presently supported in
WordPerfect 6.0 for Windows, and will be used in upcoming releases of WordPerfect products
such as WordPerfect Works for Windows.
