Users should know the following before running " SETUP386.COM " :- --the kind of RAM modules installed ( 256k x 9 or 1M x 9 ) --the number of RAM modules installed 1M.386 -- 4 RAM modules installed ( 256K x 9 each ) TOTAL 1MB memory. 2M.386 -- 8 RAM modules installed ( 256K x 9 each ) TOTAL 2MB memory. 4MK.386 -- 16 RAM modules installed ( 256K x 9 each ) TOTAL 4MB memory. 4MM.386 -- 4 RAM modules ( 1MB x 9 each ) or 4MB DIP RAM installed. TOTAL 4MB memory. 8M.386 -- 8 RAM modules installed ( 1MB x 9 each ) TOTAL 8MB memory. 10M.386 -- 16 RAM modules installed. Bank 0,1 8 RAM modules ( 256K x 9 each ) Bank 2,3 8 RAM modules ( 1MB x 9 each ) TOTAL 10MB memory. 16M.386 -- 16 RAM modules installed ( 1MB x 9 each ) TOTAL 16MB memory. " 386FAST.COM " and " 386SLOW.COM " will change the system to high speed and low speed respectively. Users who are using non-English keyboard can run " 386KEY.COM " after the keyboard program in DOS ( such as KEYB.COM in DOS 3.30 ) is loaded in order to change speed through keyboard. " VSHADOW.EXE " is used to enable/disable shadow RAM for 32KB video BIOS.
