*MAIN MENU HELP This menu displays all of the drives connected to the currently active SCSI host adapter. The UP and DOWN keys move the menu bar up and down, and pressing ENTER will select the highlighted drive for partitioning. Pressing ESCAPE from the main menu will exit the program. *PRIMARY PART HELP You are currently editing the primary partition table. The first table entry partition type may be designated as a Primary Bootable (Active) partition, a Primary Non-bootable partition, or an Extended partition. If the first table entry is designated as the extended partition, the second table entry must remain undefined. The second table entry may be either an extended partition or undefined. The first column in the table contains the partition type. The second column holds the size of the partition in MB. The third and fourth columns hold the starting and ending cylinders of the partition. The fifth column holds the DOS version that the partition will be formatted to. The sixth column indicates whether or not the partition is bootable, and the seventh column displays the percentage of disk the partition occupies. To set the partition type, press ENTER while in the partition column on the partition you want to set. This will bring up a menu of available options. To set the size, go to the size column and enter the size. If you wish to set the size by starting and ending cylinders you may do so, however partitions are contiguous and may not overlap. After editing a value, pressing ENTER will enter it. Pressing the DELETE key will delete the row the highlight is currently on if it is possible. ESCAPE will leave the editor, asking you if you would like to save changes if you made any. The cursor keys will move the highlight in the corresponding direction. Pressing ALT-E while the highlight is in a row whose partition type is extended will take you to the Logical Drive Editor. You should not have to edit the DOS version. The default is set according to the current DOS version running. This option is available for OS/2 users. Partitions with sizes greater than 511 MB can only be used under DOS 4.X, and partitions under 32 MB are automatically DOS 3.X/4.X compatible. If you have NON-DOS partitions on your disk, you may delete them by pressing the DELETE key, but you may not edit them. *LOGICAL PART HELP You are currently editing the logical partition table. You may insert up to 23 logical drives in the extended partition. To add a drive, press INSERT. The drive size and cylinders will be set to a default size, which may then be edited. The first column in the Logical Drive Editor holds the logical drive number. The second column holds the size of the logical drive in MB. The third and fourth columns hold the starting and ending cyl- inders. The fifth column displays the percentage of disk the logical drive occupies. *PART MENU HELP This menu allows you to set the partition type of the partition. The valid partition types are displayed in the menu. *SAVE CHANGES HELP Pressing "Y" will save the partitioning information to the disk, destroying any old information on the disk. Pressing "N" will result in a prompt asking you if you would like to return to the main menu. Pressing the ESCAPE key will return you to the disk partitioning editor. *RETURN TO MENU Pressing "Y" will return you to the main menu with- out saving your changes to the disk. This will leave the disk unchanged. Pressing "N" or the ESCAPE key will return you to the disk partitioning editor. *ADVANCED INFO This window provides partition-specific information that will be written to disk. *Delete Partition Pressing 'Y' will delete the highlighted partition. Pressing 'N' or ESCAPE will return you to the editor without making any changes. *DOS MENU HELP DOS 3.X/4.X partitions are compatible with both DOS 3.X and DOS 4.X. DOS 4.X partitions are not compatible with DOS 3.X.
