AMIDIAG 5.0 Notes ----------------- * The file AMITESTS.INI describes the external diagnostics tests. Do not modify or delete the file. However, if you need to discard a test you can do so by inserting a semicolon at the beginning of the line that describes the test. * You can write your batch selection parameters to a script file by pressing F4. Although this creates a single cycle, you can create multiple cycles by modifying the script file yourself. See SCRIPT.TXT for detailed syntax. * Some tests may need updates because of the fast growing technology. Notable among these are CPU, Memory and Cache. * ALT-H makes visible some tests that are normally invisible. These are destructive tests. Use them with caution. * AMIDIAG Install diskette assumes the floppy to be labelled as 'AMIDIAG'. If by any chance, that is not the case, please label it as such. * Some of the AMIDIAG tests would run under Win95 DOS Box, but others would not work properly. Go to Shutdown and Boot in MSDOS and then you can run all tests successfully. * To effectively run all tests remove all TSRs and drivers that are not needed. AMIDIAG requires 350 KB of free DOS memory. To run SYSINFO from within AMIDIAG, you need 500 KB. However, SYSINFO runs stad-alone as well.
