OK i got a few questions, first off i want to ask if 71 seats covers will fit on a 70 and then next is abot the headliner. Does the console need to come off to do the rest of it? or can it just stay put. And what is the best way to get it out of the car? Any help is great

Thanks Matt

Matt, the overhead console is bolted to the headliner from the top. It comes out with the headliner in one piece.
First you should remove the front and rear window trim pieces, the two side trim pieces and the rear view mirror.
Remove the 2 visible screws/bolts holding the overhead console idiot lights in place, let the holder drop down and unplug the 3 bulbs inside.
Remove the sun visors.
Pop out the courtesy light, unplug the wiring and remove 2 screws hidden underneath.
Remove the seat belt tidy clips, seatbelts, and coat hooks.
The headliner should now come down complete with console.
Turn it 90% and it will come out through the open window.
You can now remove the console by removing the 5 nuts.
