Upper Window Seals

I need to replace the rubber seals that install along the bottom of the roof which make contact with the window. It looks as if I need both the outer and inner seal- as there are two distinct sets of rubber up there. Has anyone replaced these and if so, what's involved and where can they be purchased?

I'm not sure if this is the right part I need, but if so, does anyone know how this would install? does it simply snap into place or is there some disassembly?

Yep, that's them mate
Just the one seal but its got a complex profile and it really ought to be glued into the roof drip rail moulding with some 3M weatherstrip adhesive or something similar.

I noticed that Detroit Muscle Technologies has a kit that consists of several adhesive rolls specifically for this installation.
Dave- what's the trick to putting these on the rihgt way? Do they have a distinct front and rear?
Here's the description and photo (attahed)
•We ARE the manufacturer! Detroit Muscle Technologies reverse engineered OEM style material drip rail and side vent window seal kit for a 1970 or 1971 Barracuda Cuda or Challenger! (Have another set for 1972 1973 and 1974 E bodies)
•This kit consists of 4 rolls of material for each side of the car
- (2) rolls of 1/8"x7/8" black poly foam to seal between the weatherstrip channel and the roof,
- (2) rolls of 1/16"x3/4" dark gray soft foam with adhesive to seal the weatherstrip channel to the drip rail.

They are the seals for the drip rail and bright work mouldings that go between the painted part of the roof and the moulded pieces.
The ones for the windows are the ones in your first link, they're right.
No real trick to gettin them right really Chuck, assemble them dry first to check fit, wipe a little silicone grease on the outer parts of them to help them slot into the mouldings.
In all fairness you can easy tell they're the right way on by looking at the end of the seal and seeing how it lays against the bottom of the front and rear pillar post.
Once you're happy with that then use the adhesive on the wide, flat section on the back.

It was not very clear at all with the SoftSeal rubber I had. The problem being I fitted them in 1990 and when I took them off for the last re-spray I couldn't remember how they went back on.
I could tell more by the way the glass sat against it.
Never glued mine on BTW. They were a good tight push-on fit.

So, they ought to be somewhat easy to remove? I guess take a plastic pry tool and gently pry them out? Then unscrew the rails, clean them and apply the new adhesive tape? Then I can reinstall the new seals?
It looks as if there are actually TWO separate seals? One rubber seal just above where the door glass comes up and what looks like a secondary foam-like seal.
Does that sound right?

No the seal is one piece Chuck. It's possible that the previous owner packed out the existing seal to give a better fit around the glass
When you attach the seals you'll easily see the way the moulded ends fit the roof posts, ain't that hard, honest

I've got the window seals (as stated above) and now I think i'm gong to need the rubber seal that sits just above the window seals and fits right under the roof.
Anyone know what these are called and where I might located them?
Thanks!!!
