Rear Window

Postby cv70chall » 30 May 2013 19:49

Hi Everyone-
I'm finally getting to drive this car and am having fun with it. Now, the next chapter begins- that of the nickel & dime part here part there marathon which will take some time as I slowly replace little part after little part for detail.
I'm going to have to remove the rear window- as I noticed that it is leaking slightly.
My questions is- Is there a special seal (like the 3M gunk for the front window) used? I know about the alignment clips and mounting clips, but what about some sort of gasket?

As always, you guys are a source of knowledge one truly appreciates!

No gasket Chuck just the same method as per the front screen, get an auto glass fitter to do it for you, cheap enough and won't leak

Thanks Adrian.
Actually, we installed the front ourselves. No leaks.
We used the 3M sealer and clips and it was all good.
Same as the front huh? I think we can tackle that one!
