Windshield Installation

Postby cv70chall » 09 May 2012 15:58

I'm at the point of preparing to install the windshield and am confused about which butyl/ 3m sealant tape I would need to use.
Was it 5/16"? Or something smaller?

Thanks

I always use a windscreen company to install mine, they have the experiance and the tools to make a clean and professional job and I dont think I ever paid more than about £30 a screen

Thanks, Adrian,

I'm trying to do this one where the car actually is (shop) so we'll need to correct materials to set and seal it here.
Actually, the prices I was getting are anywhere from USD$95-$140.

I always had em come to me, the same guys who do the windscreen repair at your house or place of work will always come out for a few bucks and squirt the stuff.............$140 is a bit steep tho

Both times I did it I just used stuff I bought from Year One. They do two thicknesses. The thinner version is the one to get otherwise the trim is hard to get back on. :D
