Cowl Progress

Postby cv70chall » 24 Jun 2011 13:43

We finally got the cowl welded in and are ready to begin prepping the engine bay for paint. Geez this has taken a long time, but it's going to be worth it!
I want to make sure the cowl is correct color-wise and need to know if it is supposed to be body color or black?
I've seen examples of both.

Thanks!

On a R/T car with the lighter body paints the cowl top was supposed to be black. I again refer you to the detailed restoration example I have pointed you to in the past.

Thanks, as always, Dave. It's so much farther between work on these areas that I end up forgetting. Black with the "sponge type" of paint line which resembles overspray, right?
