Mates, been to have a look at a 70 plum crazy convertible thats come up for sale over here.
Its got a fair amount of corrosion but I still don't wanna miss out on the opportunity, any areas on these cars that suffer worse than coupes? Both doors need a new skin, rear qtr were replaced 11 or 12 yrs ago but will probably need patching at the bottom ( i think thats where conv drain off the roof?), do the floorpans and extra gussetting and bracing cause any major headaches if neeeding repair?
I'm well into this but value all of your advice, heres a link to the ad on our Mopar club website ;

There's nothing really extra underneath the floorpan (optional torque boxes are used on the convertible, and that's it). You're right, the main issue is the rear quarter condition, since the top drain goes inside the quarters. Short of installing a tube from the driprail to the drain holes, you have to have really good paint on the inner quarter. And the drain holes are never too big (like those on each side of the trunk).

The only part that would cause headaches compared to a hardtop was if you have to replace a windshield post (I think they might be available new now).

Thanks for the advice Fabien, passed on it in the end, was wisely warned off by a very sensible man :mrgreen:
