C7 Plum Crazy for 72

Does anyone know if C7 Plum Crazy was available as a factory optional colour in 72? I've seen a number of 72-74's in this colour, however, is this correct?

Talking out of my head I would say no Tom, but to be for sure check Dave's Challenger home page. It shows all the available colours for all the different years.

i've seen a documented 74 in plum in the magazines a couple years back. although it was not a listed color, some seem to have made it through.

Could be a V09 optioned Challenger Mark, special order paint. I'm told that in these years you could even order a chrysler car with a F*** colour. Gotta fall hard on the head before you choose a colour from them I think...

THanks guys. That's what I thought.

Han's another question. I'm restoring a 72. Are there any front bumper fillers on your 72. I'm using a front headlight panel assembly (you know the large fibreglass assembly) off a 74. The 74 had fillers as the bumper stuck out about 2-3 inches. The 74 panel also has cutouts on each end (hard to describe)so when the bumper retracted in 5 mph test it would not damage the panel. Does your 72 have these cutouts.

I'm not sure if I do understand the fillers you mean Tom, but if you're talking about some rubber things between the bumper and that fibreglass head panel I do have two rubber fillers at the ends of my bumper. Only where the bumper 'goes around' the front of the front fenders. If you don't get what I mean, I will try to get my hands on a digital cam to take a pic of it.

Hans, A picture is worth a thousand words. As you can see there is a slight gap between the panel and the bumper. On the donor 74 the plastic filler panels which bolted to the panel actually slide under the bumper. You can also see the cutouts. Does this look normal?

Hans, Again you have been a great help. I bet if you removed your fillers, there are the cutouts you see in my picture. I will have to look for a pair of these 72 small end fillers. I though I saw something simmilar on e-Bay a few months ago , however I was not quite sure what they were for. Now I know. Thanks again.
