removed quarter today

cut off old quarter today
patch panel was garbage so i am replacing the full side
everything is real nice underneath
hope new parts fit no turning back now

cool i was going to do that but decided to repair my original keep us uptodate with how it goes together are you doing this yourself or do you have a panel beater doing the job

Looks nice. This would be a great thread to keep for reference on quarter and trunk extension replacement.
Who did you say supplied the full quarter and the junk one?
Are you going to use lead filler on the joints? Just curious never worked with the stuff before.

That looks like a really neat job- esp for a 1st time attempt at such a big job. Well done. Can't believe how big the wheel tubs are- it really shows when the quarter is off!

Yeah, the Challenger's and Cuda's can accept some seriously large rear meats before flares or tubbing become necessary!

both parts came from same supplier
both parts have the made in tiawan sticker on them
my supplier here is cross canada auto,they supply body work materials
i will be using lead on body joints again

the tiawan quarter is turning out good
the boys come by and give some input
got out the hydraulics and tweaked some metal
almost forgot what rear end looked like
got a big smile on my face looking good

after 4 hours of fitting finially got some welding done
all spotwelds redone except trunk extention
need to fit rear roll pan to make sure its right
may have to remove rear mount of twirller

Sounded like a lot of tweaking but superb result you got- esp from a chinese panel - shhh, don't tell anyone. How will you fix the rust holes in the rear screen body well area- MIG i suppose?
