Homebuilt 26" radiator support

A friend of mine was kind enough to make me a 26" radiator support. He is a half-pro, making the tooling for himself! :!:  I envy him because of his skills. I have not told him that though. :)

First he made one for himself. Once he had the tooling, it was an easy task to do yet another one. I might be able to persuade him to do one for you also but that will cost a couple of $$$.

Note that the car will not be 100% correct doing it this way. It will be good enough for me though. The washer bottle will cover most of seam anyway.

Ghost48 himself did the welding.

Thanks! The most important thing is to be satisfied with the result yourself, isnĀ“t it?

Ok, I will ask him. You do not need a pair though, since the left side of the radiator support is the same on all cars.

The only missing pieces on this patch are 1) the two weld nuts that holds the radiator and 2) you will have to make a slotted hole (above). Both of them are easy to fix if you can weld and drill.

christer the side he makes is the side with the washer bottle right?
thats great info that the other side was the same for all motors,i did not know that. would be nice if your buddy welded the nuts on,the drilling for the holes is no problem though.

anyways no rush, let me know what cost he charges for that one piece.
thanks.

$100 is his best price. He is quite busy during the next 1-2 months so it will take some time to have it ready.

No problem. The PG classic part looks very good judging from the photo. On the other hand, I think that fit is not that crucial in this area so it should not matter if it is not perfectly OK.

I believe that they wanted about $135 for this panel from the start. Apparently they have lowered their prices.
