Dupont colours

Postby 70 340 » 06 Aug 2008 12:17

Hey guys, I have been looking around trying to find out if the 1970 challengers were painted with Dupont from the LA factory. If this is true what is the paint code for dark burnt orange metallic?
Thanks, Darryl

I must be mistaken. For some reason I thought they also used dupont in 70. Was dupont used in 71?

Any good paint supplier should be able look the formula up and reproduce the colour exactly in whatever type of paint you want. All paints are mixed with a standard selection of pigments.

The only bit that is tricky is finding someone with the wits/inclination to find the correct formula.
