1973 to 1970 Bumper Bracket's.

Got my new bumper's, Friday. They're for my 73', Rallye. They are triple, nickel plated, chrome.:D Picked up some, 1970 rear bumper bracket's, this weekend. :) I want to move my bumper's, close to the body. Like 70,71,72. Question; Will the 70' bracket's fit my new, rear bumper? And, I've seen it somewhere but, can't find it. Can't I just drill out, the front, 73', bracket's. To fit them closer to the body, as well? Also, can I fit 70-72', Bumperette's on a 73' style, rear bumper? I know it's not original but, I like the fit of the earlier bumper's.
Thank's, Pat.
P.S. Got the bumper's from, Auto Metal Direct. Good outfit! I thought they had a 3 year warrenty but, actually, it's a 5 year warrenty! :D They are authentic, mopar restoration part's. Saved me $300.00 against, re-chroming my original's!

Someone might be able to tell you for sure but it can't be hard to MAKE them fit if they decide to be awkward.

Big hammer and a welder will make anything fit anything.

Thank's, Dave. I wanted to use 1970, Bumperett's. :) Not gonna happen. :( Well, I think I'll go back to Plan:A. Redo the 73, bumper pad's. The hole's for the Bumperett's, are on top. For a 70'-72', they are on the bottem. I'm into the 1970, rear bumper bracket's, for about $70.00. About a tank of Premium fuel. U.S. I guess, I can live with that. Maybe, Ill use them later.

Hey Guy's! Been gone for a week, on vacation. Had time to think about my bumper situation. Well, here I go again. I talked to the boy's at, "Auto Metal Direct." They will swap me rear bumper's. A 72', for the 73', I already received. I just have to pay for the shipping. The 1970 bracket's, I won on ebay are just too good to stick up on a shelf. I don't want to keep shipping bumper's back and forth, across the nation. So, I have a very important question. Will a 1972, rear bumper fit, without fabrication, on 1970 bumper bracket's? Can I use my 73' inner bumper reinforcement on this 72' bumper, if I just drill the bracket hole's to match? Sorry Guy's. :s006: I'm driving myself nut's, too!
Thank's, Pat
