I have 2 questions, I'm putting my side glass in the doors ad the shop manual doesnt show the anti rattle pads or glass guides and the rear pad hits the rearupper track bolt. Dont know if that makes sence. Also on the rear quater outer weather strip has a longer leg on one end but I dont know which is left or right. Does the little leg that sticks out go to the front or back? It looks like it could go either way. Its just a inch of the chrome strip with no rubber on it, I wish I could remember this stuff.

I am about to tackle all this starting tonight. So far I have found I have had the weatherstrip in wrong for the last 15 years.

So apart from working out where everything was I am also working out if it was right to start with!

I looked at a challenger sitting at a car lot waiting for restoration, it's weather strip could be factory. Any way it had the extended part to the rear. The door glass guides were how I had put them, but I dont know why mine hits the allen head bolt. I'll check it out again maybe I did something wrong.

I am finding allsorts wrong or missing on mine.

I found some more parts last night though so I am looking at it again tonight.

I believe the quarter felt leg that has no rubber on it goes towards the front. This is where the chrome vertical seal on the glass rides through.

I think you are right about that Jon. I was going to demonstrate when i find where i have stored mine.

I just had a look at it (now I have found my weatherstrips) and the bit without the rubber goes to the REAR.

The lack of rubber is to clear the window guide at the rear of the quarter glass.

Can anyone tell me if i have put these bits of rubber in the right place?

Can anyone tell me if this bit of the roof rail is supposed to be plain galvanised steel? Or is there something that is supposed to fit over this as it is further towards the rear?

Door bumpers are right, weather stip on rear quarters were the same as the one I looked at. Not sure about the other trim at top of window, I'll be doing that in a few weeks.

yes it is correct, i had mine powdercoated, because i didnt like the way it looked but thats the way it is , later today ill look at my wifes gran coupe, it is still factory,is the same im sure,dave i did find that quarter track , if you need it

Sorry about the misinformation. I was out of town without the Challenger for reference. After checking today you are correct Dave the bit without the rubber is at the rear corner as pictured.

Just going from memory I was thinking the same as you Jon.

I found the answer to this one today when my mate Neil came around in his Barracuda.

The reason I coud see the bit of bare metal was because I had the drivers side weather strip mounted on that passenger side. So it was back to front. The seal sits over this bit when it is on the correct side.
