Grill Rubber

I really don't know what to call this trim but it's the rubber that extends on to the fenders (behind the front bumper) of my 1973 Challenger. The rubber is contoured like the ends of the bumper as it wraps around the fenders. Inside the rubber (or maybe it's plastic) theres a piece of sheet metal with a couple of clips used to fasten it to the side of the fender. Both pieces of sheet metal are rotted and I'm trying to locate new ones. I thought Year One would have them but could not locate in their web site.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I know I sound confusing but I just don't know how to describe more clearly. Thanks.

The 1970-1971 Challengers have bumper fillers. Is it something similar you have in mind? (I can´t find any bumper fillers for ´72-´74 Challengers in the YO catalog.)

(K4P Bumper fillers, 1970-1971 Challenger models, reproduction. Bumper fillers-These are the small rubber pieces which fit into the corners of the front bumper and prevent contact between the bumper and the corners of the front fenders.)

I guess that's what you would call it. The rubber is fine it's the metal inside the rubber that's rotted.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I also have a 73' Rallye. What you are talking about is called a flexable plastic filler strip, for 73' and 74'. Mopar put these in when they moved the bumper's out to meet Federal safety standard's. I have not seen these reproduced anywhere, yet. Every once in a while, you'll see a piece, or two for sale on ebay. Mine are still in good shape but, I imagine, I'll be looking someday too.
