My trunk lid torsion rods are if the forward slot, if I move them to the rear would it give my trunk lid more lifting ease? My go wing is holding it down a little. Is it easy to move rod ends and how?

You have to pull the end(s) out and back into a hole further back. This is not easy. It takes a bit of strength.

I don't see how you could pull that one out with the lid closed (from inside??). The strength required for this is really important.

I usually use a crowbar to move it from one slot to the next, and some rags to prevent damage to the paint.
That is the kind of things for which eye protection might be a good idea.

The torsion bar is under pressure as you close the lid. Which is how it is able to spring the lid up?

You need the lid open as far as possible to do this.

I just use a pair of pliers to grab the bar plus a bit of brute strength. My skinny arms are stronger than they look.
