Hood Emblems for Shaker Hood

Postby Gordon » 14 Dec 2007 19:01

I just purchased one of the new reproduction Shaker hoods and it is a very nicely done piece. I can't wait to get it painted and installed! Anyone know where I can get the little Dodge "triangle" emblem that goes on the front of this hood? Also, I need "340 four barrel" emblems for the shaker bubble. Does anyone know if these the same emblems that would go on the R/T hood, or are they different for the Shaker hood? Thanks!

Due to the curvature or radius of the bubble there might be a difference between the two emblems. www.manciniracing.com has exact Chrysler Emblems that even have the part number on them. On the 440SixPack emblem the original emblem on N-96 Shaker bubbles had a slight 'Taper' to it. The re-pops from mancini include this important feature. On N-96 equipped Challengers the parts are either right or not. Dont settle for anything less cause everyone will focus on it, it's hard not too! Another place for exact reproduction N-96 accesoories is www.shakerhood.com and the triangle may be available from www.Yearone.com  Any pics?

Year One is where I bought my Dodge hood emblem - the triangular one - for my shaker hood. It's the same emblem they used on the flat hoods.

I found the hood emblem in the Year One catalog - thanks! I am still researching the shaker bubble engine call out emblems. Mancini didn't have them, and Y1 just sells the plain emblem for the R/T hood. I'll keep you posted.....

There are 426 Hemi and 440 SixPack emblems for shakers.... maybe Ed has them at themoparshop.com. I bought mine from him three years ago.

Spoke to Ben Snobar at ShakerHood.com a few days ago. He advises that the 340 shaker cars got the regular "340 four barrel" emblem that would have been used on the R/T hood. A few coats of organisol black paint and I'll be ready to hit the streets!
