I thought I read somewhere that "DODGE" letters were on the front edge of the rally hoods for
1970 only. Lately, I've been seeing pictures of other years with them as well. ??

Are 1970 rally hoods unique in any other ways? How do you tell them apart from other years?

I have a `72 Ralley which has the dodge letters on the hood. Take a look at "introducing your
challenger" at the message board, you can see that Martins `73 Challenger and mine `72 Ralley
(the blue/purple one) has the letters on the hood.

It was the "Challenger and Barracuda Restoration Guide" by Paul Herd, but I was wrong in
thinking 1970 only. I believe it says the 1971 hood received no emblems other than the
displacement tags on the scoops (no "Dodge"), but that the "Dodge" emblems were
re-introduced on the 1972 through 1974 hoods. It says the P/N's changed on the individual
letters for 1973 and 1974 . Don't know how they differ. Sorry for the confusion.
