Hey Guy's, Just wondering: I just got a brand new set of wheel well molding from Year One. I took the old stuff off with out any problem. After cleaning things up a bit, I started to fit the new molding. The mounting hole's are off on just about every one of them. Some forword, some backword. Close but not close enough. I really don't want to drill new hole's in the fender's but I'm not sure I want to send them back either. First I GAGGED a little bit when I saw the word's "Made In Taiwan". Then when they didn't fit hole for hole, I thought, " Thank's Year One !" I see a lot of all your guy's car's with nice wheel well trim. What did you do about it? What's a guy do; Pat

I had the same delima. Since my car was meant to be a driver and had the rear quarters replaced anyway, I had the holes relocated in my sheet metal. Not the best situation, but for me that was my best solution.

I am not sure how Chrysler fitted them in the first place though? If they were done by hand then the holes in each car would be unique.

In any case you do not have any choice but to drill new holes in the fender as Bob already said.

I recently installed deck lid trim on my 70. It was about 1/16" too short on both ends and the quarter piece had tooling dings. They too are tagged made in Taiwan. Called YO and they sent new ones no questions asked (though they were exactly the same as the others). I didn't even have to send the old one back first. They said use the parts you need and send the rest back.

This probably won't solve your problem as the the replacement ones are likely the same as what you have. About 25% of the parts I have ordered from them do not fit too well. They do have the best customer service I have ever dealt with though.

I too ordered rear quarter and deck lid trim and I was not completely happy. The quarter pieces had jagged edges in the corners. I called Year One and they gave me an RA# to return it. The trim seems very cheap (lighter than the original) and for $183, does not even come with the clips. The clips are another $34. Being that this stuff is made in China, they're making a nice profit and the quality is mediocre. Customer service is very good, but it'll still cost me money to ship these back.
