I have one from California Car Cover, seems to be pretty good. Im sure what style it is from them, I can look it up though if you want. Its a pain in the rear to get it to fit in the duffle bag they sell with them though.

I bought a CoverCraft back in 1999 for my PowerRam 4x4,(sun damage),it works very well, it takes about 3 min to put it on by myself, you had to make a hole for the antennae but I like it and it has elastic bottom to help keep it in place, It uses a breathable fabric and will not damage paint. It cost me about 159.00, Technalon material rated for outdoor use. For my Challenger R/T which is only taken out in sunny warm weather above 50 degrees, I will eventually purchase their Flannel material for indoor use only, it is super soft and will not hurt anything but it is just for keeping dust off the R/T in my shop/Garage. I was impressed with the Quality.

Thanks for the tips. I was wondering if there was a dual purpose cover. Weather proof for outside and dust proof for inside. Probably can not have the best of both worlds in one cover. I would hate to have to cut a hole for the antennae. AirfuelEddie, I live just south of Indy. Do you attend any of the central Indiana car shows? I would love to see your car. It sounds like a nice ride.

Hey Bob whats up Bro. Indy events I attend? There is only one Indiana based event I have attended Bob,(last four years), and its the Goodguys event first weekend in June at Clermont Ind, here are some pics for you, and other MoPar heads like me, to enjoy. I like the Goodguys because it reminds me of my wasted youth!! SuperStock mania! There are about 25-30 Nostalgia Stockers ready for battle. The dominant make is MoPar,(62-65), although there are Ford Thunderblots and Pontiac 412s and an occasional Chevy. The MoPars dominate all the time!!There is no vehicle allowed made after 75. Have you heard about it?

Hi Eddie, Yes I have heard about the Good Guys. I have never attended because I thought that it was mostly Hot Rods. Sounds like I might need to be there next year. BY the way it 50 degrees here yesterday so I just had to drive the Challenger. Did you get yours out?

The frabic I got for mine is suggested for indoors and out, here is the description on it from the company:

Stormweave’s dense construction cushions against parking lot dings and is resistant to tears and punctures. Stormweave is highly water resistant and blocks 99% of ultraviolet rays (with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 180). Stormweave can help protect your vehicle’s interior and finish from sun, rain, snow, dew, industrial pollutants, tree sap and animal droppings. The unique four-layer fabric construction includes two center layers made of short, dense fibers that act as a moisture barrier to repel water, yet allow the passage of air. It features a limited four-year warranty.

Durable protection with an ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) rating of 180!

BLOCK-IT® EVOLUTION® effectively blocks the sun's harmful rays, offering added protection for a vehicle's finish. The unique two-part UV protection system provides sun blocking and inhibiting chemistries. EVOLUTION uses the same type of UV protection chemistry found in clear coat paints.

I've never had my car outside so I cant say how it works outside, but it works good inside keeping the dust off, and it is soft on the inside.

Cutting the hole for the antenna is easy, you take the mast off the antenna, put the cover on, mark the spot of the antenna in it then cut the hole with it off the car. You should have two options for the antenna hole, you can either put a supplied plasic gromet around the hole so the frabic doesnt spread out from the cut, or you can send it back to the manufacturer and they will sew a long sock onto the cover at that point so the antenna goes up inside of it.

Bob, I am waiting on the Challenger! It had to go back up North for a little while. The car had a nasty bog going to WOT, which is exactly as I suspected it would do given the current state of the engine which is going to require much more fuel than normal. Why? Because when I had the engine built at Hensley Racing,(Knoxville Tenn), I specified a stout endurance engine, they used ported Edelbrock Heads, Comp Dual springs, Complete Comp Cams K-Kit with their fast rate of lift cam. 528/292 so its a pretty "sick" cam! I knew this was going to happen. So I ordered a set of PRO-MAX billet six-pack parts,(their whole set up), and sent it with the car. The shop has a Mustang1750 dyno and they offered free transportation,(enclosed trailer), so off it went! They reported that I am really going to love this new set-up, as a matter of fact there should be an upcoming article in MoPar Muscle Magazine about it this spring or summer of 07! I , however cant wait to drive it. And it also goes to the local Dodge Dealership for a commercial involving the all new Challenger this summer! I feel very honored but its the car its not me at all, not my style! BTW I will remind everyone whos interested in the GoodGuys and no I am not a rodder either, but my friend dragged me there one year and I havent been the same since. I cant get those 62-65 moPars out of my mind! Those early Mopes are lightweight powerhouses and the racing is great it is worth the twenty bucks to see that!

Thanks for all of the info on the covers. I have been told by the boss lady to stop searching. Something about Santa. I may have to readdress this topic at a later date. "Happy Wife Happy Life"
