I don't think the rocker (sill in the UK) trim came as standard on any model?? It was not part of Moulding Group A (A63) which is the extra trim fitted as standard on the SE.

You need to look for the M25 code on the fender tag or for evidence of holes along the rockers (sills) to mount them.

They were terrible rust traps and many were removed for that reason.

Why do you guys call the sills "rockers"?

Where I come from rockers are;

a) Guys in leather jackets and slicked back hair. :lol:

b) The things under the rocker covers that open the valves.

c) Chairs that old people or nursing mothers sit in.

Maybe they refer to the panel as such because of the pits and dings from gravel and rocks.

Your post brings up several other questions. B) Why do you guys call them rocker covers. In my neck of the woods they are called valve covers. Also Dave, do you fit into any of the other catigories such as A) or C)? :P

Agreed that those sills (rockers) can be rust traps- unless you make some extra prep to the area under them.
Good sealant and even some silicone (dare I say it) lightly underneath the panels can prevent rusting.
(Saw this at the SEMA show and a recent Mopar event)

The valves are in the head. Only the tips protude above the head and even then they are covered by the springs, retainters and above all that the rockers!

When I was young I admit I fitted A) before becoming a hippy and then moving back in the direction of A) again. :mrgreen:

As for C), I would like nothing better than to sit in a rocking chair on a porch, sipping whisky and watching the sun going down. It would be nice to have the time to do that of an evening. :nod:

Mine has this trim. Pretty damaged, as a previous owner screwed it on :s001:

My R/T had them though.

They were missing when I bought the car (along with all the other trim) but it is on the fender tag and there are about 6 holes along the center length of each outer sill.

Mine should have the wheel arch mouldings too but like the wide sill moulding they are rust traps and I would rather do without them.
