Reproduction trim/body parts

Postby NCChallenger » 15 Jul 2006 14:03

What's everyone's experience been with reproduction parts such as headlight bezels, dash parts, fender/hood trim etc.? I've considered buying a set of 70 bezels from PGClassic for $375, since originals are so high. They claim that the fit/form is like the originals, but I've never seen any in person to compare. Anyone have good/bad experiences with any of these companies? Any recommendations for a particurarly good mfg?

Thanks, Chris

I bought the tail light and side marker lights and think they are really nice. I haven't mounted them to the car but they look identical compared to the stock pieces.

I would recomend there products to anybody.

NC,
I replied to you question on my older post on my dash restoration.
Hope you saw it.
Also---
After searching for a year or so for correct 1970 sideview rallye mirrors in decent shape, I bit the bullit and bought PG's new repros.
I emailed a few of their mopar customers who own Challengers and Cudas, they all emailed me back and all were happy with their parts.

I figured -After paying the market price for originals then the cost for restoring them, it seemed the best way to go.(unless your a purest)
They look great (Show). They feel the same weight & thickness.
So far a good experience for me.

Good luck.

Glad to hear everyone has been happy so far with the repro's. Also happy to see that some of these pieces are getting made as prices for the originals are just ridiculous.

regnellahC,
Got your answer. Thanks. I might contact this guy in AZ since my dash needs rebuilding.

Since my last post on this subject I have had a chance to mount my tail light chrome bezels, Shift indicator plate and side marker lights. All of these parts look absolutly great and I would say they fit OK. I did not buy there headlight bezels so I can't speek to the fit and finish of those.
