Bulkhead differences

I have discovered there is a difference in the bulkhead design on my Challenger compared to others.
Most seem to have a fresh air inlet inside the bulkhead on the drivers side which looks very much like the one on the passenger side for the heater blower.
Shown in the photo below on a car with the top of the bulkhead removed.
My car does not have this.
However my car is a fairly early build (Oct. 1969) so I was wondering if this was something that was introduced at a later date? If so I would like to know when it was introduced.
Anyone know if their Challenger has this vent (it directed cold air to the drivers feet) and what was your build date?
Maybe cars with air con didn't get this?
Any information would be welcome.
Thanks.

My car defenitely has it. I have replaced that rotten
sleeve so I should know.
B08 = 8th of November 1969, right? No air condition in my car.
I have posted a "before" pic below. It shows the outlet from the inside of the car (the black plastic thing above in the pic).

I wonder if it is only non-ac cars that got it. At least initially.

The way I understood that is what you got if you didnt get AC. Maybe your car was built before they decided to put these in Dave or they didn't have the parts to put them in yet.

It must be only non-AC cars getting these then. The plastic duct and control flap would not be fitted on AC cars so if they had a air intake like that it would have to be bloked off I guess.
Let me know if any of you have an AC equipped car that got the air intake as well. Any model year.
Thanks.

I do not have any of those desrcibed holes on either side of my car. I am restoring a 1972 Rallye Challenger with factory A/C. Built nov. 1971.

Like I said and dave restated, if you have factory AC you do not have these vents. You only have them if you don't have AC.

Well I wasn't so sure. But thanks to all the input that looks to be the case.
There are other differences in the bulkhead on ac cars for the pipes etc. They must have welded in a completely different bulkhead.
You would think they would use one dual purpose design wouldn't you?
Anyhow. That has cleared up the mystery and explained why car does not have this.
Thanks.

The holes are inside the bulkhead and not on the top. If you look or feel inside the cowl on the passenger side you will find one that is the air intake for the blower motor below. This one is on both ac and non-ac cars.
