1973 Ralleye Hood Emblems

Help!

What is the proper hood emblem for 1973 with 340 engine and Ralleye hood??

Is it "340 Magnum" or is it "340 4Barrel"

I see your point. In the Year One catalog, both emblems are listed as correct for 1973 Challengers.

Paul Herd´s Parts Interchange Manual says that the 340 four barrel emblem is correct.

I have a couple of pic´s also, but it is hard to say something definite, but it does more look like four barrel emblems than magnum emblems to me.

"340 4Barrel" would look too technical.

I'd hit the "340 Magnum".
It's clean, simple and beautiful.

Its 340 FOUR BARREL with the 340 being chrome and FOUR BARREL being red letters.

I seem to remember that it is four barrel as 1973_Challenger says and as I suspect he owns one i would guess he knows what he is talking about. :wink:

I have a 70 A66 with 340 four barrel. I don't know if it is original but was thinking of changing to 340 Magnum. Do you have a source for the emblems.
Bye the way I have a good clean 383 Magnum emblem if anyone is interested.

now does anyone know where to get the emblems that say "340 four barrel" cause i can only find the magnum ones, and i to have the 340 four barrel emblems but i would like to get new ones since mine are broken.

You can buy both of these emblems from Year One.

I may have a set of 340 Four Barrel emblems. I've got a '74 with a 360 that came with 340 Four Barrel emblems. Took me a while to find the 360 Four Barrel emblems. I'll check to see if I still have them when I get home from this business trip.

Hello, Just read the post. Go to ebay motors-parts & accessories-type "360 four barrel" or "340 four barrel" in the search window-be sure to check the search title and description box for more matches. I found a price range of $38 to $75. Some are "NOS". Good luck......Ed

the 340-four barrel are supposed to go on a challenger, the 340 magnum emblems are for later model chargers, I think 72-73-74 chargers, John
