My turn to need some help.

How on earth do you remove the trim that runs around the bottom edge of a vinyl roof at the rear of the car?

I have tried all my usual tricks but with no luck. I am getting heavy handed and fustrated now and the trim is starting to bend.

Help me PLEASE before I do any damage!

My ´70 Chally had clips with the mounting nuts placed on the inside of the body. Do you these type of clips or do you have plastic clips (´71-´74?)

Yeah you got to take the interior panels out to reach 3 of the nuts, the rest of them can be accessed form inside the trunk, however be prepared to crawl in to the trunk to get some of them.

Any vendor who has Auveco products ( http://www.auveco.com/ ) can probably help you out. I use to sell a universal mopar clips myself (See pic. My clips looks quite similar to the one in the pic but except for the wire/thread above). The measurements are about 10 mm high and 19 mm wide if my memory serves me right. I am 90 % sure that these will fit. Maybe they need a little ginding to get the hight down to 9.5 mm. Well, I haven´t mounted them on my own car so I am not 100% sure..... I use to charge about £1.1/set (1 set = 1 clip and 1 nut). I am sure that we can work something out if you are intrested.

Correction: I haven´t looked at these clips for a while now. I think there is a wire/thread on them. Forget what I wrote in the previous post.

The clips that hold the vinal top molding down are the same ones that hold the molding down one the front lip of the hood and trunk.

All of these trim clips are from the Yearone catalog. The question is where do they fit? Any opinions appreciated.

A2744 Trim piece is the clip I used to put the molding on trim for my vinal top. Can't help you with the others.

Thanks David! Yeah, I had more or less expected that answer. It feels good to have my suspicions confirmed. :s017:

I think the A2744 clip also is useable to attach the front of hood moulding even though they don´t look like the NOS clips.
