I take it that the remote cable is so long so it can route under the door glass when the window is wound down? Ain't it gonna feel weird when you can't run into the garage and photograph that car :?:

From memory the cables run around the front edge of the glass.

Feels wierd working on it for probably the last time. :?

Yes the cable runs around the front of the glass. And the route it has to take to avoid the glass movement up and down is quite critical. 'Cos i did it not so long ago.

Also on the mirror pictures from Ebay - i wouldn't take stuff off Ebay as gospel - take into account that the sellers might not know for sure what they have, they might just have called it a certain year because 1. someone else told them or 2. it came off a certain year of car. But this doesn't mean its original for that car. The best and hardest method is to look at factory brochures and properly restored big dollar resto's at car shows etc/ Because there seems to be quite a few differences in the mirror details. I have about 4 different styles in my collection here, one of which is a very rare remote passenger side mirror. Which still works.
