Wellcome! :D

To answer your question.

It can be done and has been done many times.

Just thinking off the top of my head. The main differences are the front grille and rear lights.

The marker lights on the sides of the car are different too.

I mention this because it is easier (I think?) to use 1970 front fenders if you want to fit the 1970 grille because the headlights are mounted differently in the two models. However if you did that your rear marker lights will not match.

Which ever way you do this you will have some welding/fabrication to do. It is not just a bolt-on swap.

The rear lights are not so hard to do I think??

The main problem is finding the bits to do this in good condition.

Have a good look through the posts on this board as I am sure it has been discussed before. Although that may have been on the old version of this board and will be lost now.

Good luck.

The body is the same but my point was it is not as easy to swap the parts over as it might look.

I personally like all three types of grille and would not go to the bother of swapping bits from model year to model year.
