You can buy repros of the T/A hood hinge springs (from Year One for instance). $62.00 a set.

By the way, I just noticed that the AAR springs have a different part number. I guess it is because of the shorter hood on ´Cudas. Those springs should even be softer than the T/A springs. I wonder if they would be an alternative if you have a VERY light hood? (or do the length of the springs differ between T/A and AAR?)

I would think they are the same length and possibly just a different spring rate?
What ever the rate is it still seems too high judging by the number of T/A and AAR hoods you see bending up in the middle!

For those unfamiliar with bent fibre-glass hood problems, it is a known solution to leave the hood open during storage.
Highly recommended in other words.
