I think it is on the 70-71 model and on the passenger side only. I don't think it was on the 72-74 models. have a good look at any images in magazines and on the internet to find out for sure.

Randy, all 72 Challenger Rallye had the Chrysler star only on the passenger side of the fender.

On the picture you can see an original paint with original star on a 1972 Challenger Rallye.

Mmm. Yet I have two photos of restored '72s that show nothing on the fender! You would think if it was there before being restored it would have been put back on?

I think this calls for a little more study. Only i don't have the time right now. I am supposed to be putting in a Summit racing order right now in fact instead of reading this!

I have a 71 convertible w/Rallye hood and dash. It was repainted several years ago. It has a star on both sides now. Is there any reason dodge put them on only one side. And did any cars come with them on both sides?

It is common for people to think that because there is only a badge on one side that there is a badge missing from the other. So 'restorers' and body shops that don't know any different often add a badge to the drivers side.

I don't know why Chrysler only fitted them to one side. But that is what they did.
