I removed the rear valance of my ยด73 Rallye recently. It was attached to the quarters with three screws on both sides and to the body with two screws in the middle behind the license plate.

My 72 has one screw in the middle behind the licence plate.

Above is my old rear valance (dented, and worn....).
Some time ago I bought a used rear valance. (below, better than my old....).
Question: I assume that my "new" valance (the valance below in the photo) is a repro valance since it is missing the centre bracket. Right or wrong? It is no big deal to move the centre bracket from my old valance and on to my new valance. I plan to attach the new valance in the body so I can figure out the best place for the centre bracket to be.
Any ideas, comments or anything?

I had to switch the center support to my new rear valance, as well. I did the same thing, Christer, put the rear valance on first and then fit the piece where it should go.
Just be careful when you're welding it, you dont need more than a couple tacks, get on and off the pedal quick.

Giving it another thought: The guy who was the previous owner of my "new" rear valance must have used it without the centre bracket since there are no marks or signs from spot welds, and the paint job is fairly new. It must have been sagging quite a lot in the middle. I wonder how many Challengers like that there are out there
