Interior paint

i,I have a 72 Challenger and I`m in the process of switching the interior over to all black. I have all the plastic panels, now I want to paint all of the metal interior parts like steering columb, window trim and metal part of dash. My question is,is there a special black to match the interior or just any semi gloss paint will do. Thanks,Tom.

I tried several spray paints and none of them matched. I ended up buying one can from Year one and one can from Totally auto. both were specified as chrysler interior paint. the others were like Krylon or paint master or some cheap paint like that(they didn' work)

Apparently, 2 wet coats of semi matt black followed by one "dry" coat gives the right colour and texture

There is a great interior paint that I am really happy with made by SEM. It is a flexible vinyl color coating and for black interiors the color to use is called Landau Black. Two or three light coats does a great job on interior panels.
