So I went back in and forced ginge, herms and lily out in the garden for a snowball fight
Feel better already, some more due for the next 2 days but sunny by the weekend.
Bloody hope so cos I got a bike ride planned and I took it home while it was belting down with snow on Friday and it was an, er...... interesting ride

This weekend, the Swedish rally ended. It is part of the World rally championship ( http://www.wrc.com ). The required tyre setup is 400 studs (1/4" long) on each tyre. Maybe something to consider? Don´t blame me if the coppers gets angry at you.

Wait until I pass my bike test next month. I will show you how slow it is possible to go.

With a bit of careful throttle control you can spin up the rear while cranked over just as you leave the apex of a corner. It's very easy really, in fact you can't feel it actually go sideways like you can in a car, you're more likely to have whoever is following you tell you how extreme it looked

Man, I wish we could run those around here. The ones on my truck are way sparse only on the outside and just above the tread. Those would even get the wife's 2wd Tahoe back on the road! We had almost a foot of snow in December and the Wagon's been parked ever since.

That's my daughter going back out to retrieve her school books and I Pod. It was hilarious when she finally got the door open.

Be fair. We did have lovely unusually warm, sunny, weather early last year.

It was from the begining of "summer" that it all went downhill fast and horribly wrong.

Got hit by a snow storm and high winds yesterday afternoon. Only a half inch of snow but then it rained and froze as it hit the ground.It compressed down and we had freezing temps all night so this morning the ground was a nice solid 1/4 inch of solid ice everywhere. That was "interesting" to drive on this morning.

Summers can be unnerving when it's so dry. I stay awake at night when there is dry lightening flashing through the windows. Not really much one can do except be ready to leave quickly.

Over here it is the heather on the moorland that tends to catch fire if it has been very dry. But on a lot of moorland the "soil" is actually peat which of course burns like coal and it actually burns underground. Very hard to put out.

Fortunately we don't usually get dry spells lasting more than a couple of weeks.

Yea Dave I have heard of those peat fires they are very hard to extinguish,

kind of like the coal seam fires up in the hills they have been burning for years(50 plus) under ground and are still burning as we speak
