The strong winds we have here at the moment ripped the felt roof off my shed last night so spent the day re-felting it and in the process mashed a finger with the hammer.

Seeing the new year in with a drink in one hand and my finger on the other hand in ice water.

But all the best to everyone for the new year.

Dave, the key is to soak your finger in your drink.

(from the inside of course)

Happy New year to all of you,
May you drive your old Mopes in light traffic on sunny days as often as possible and find cheap gas when you need it!

(and let's hope the last week-end of July will be extra sunny in Bedfordshire... I'm planning for a big French delegation this year)

Soaking it from the inside was the intent. It passes over your tongue on the way to your finger that way.
