Looks a bit like a sway bar bush type of thing. What size is it? We don't have a scale.

It does look like a swaybar type thing but it seems like it goes with brakes or steering column

Exy my first guess............
But I would have expected Drew to know that, he's done his fair share of chassis and suspender mods

I have the sway bar mounted with all the hardware , I keep recognizing it but I just cant place where it goes it will be obvious when we/I figure it out

There is a U-shaped bracket that clamps the steering column to the bottom of the dash. Is it that? It slides over two long studs.

It sure looks like an aftermarket sway bar bushing retainer strap to me. Here's an original Chrysler Rear sway bar bushing retainer strap,, note it has the curved in lip. My 70 has the type as shown by the OP but it's a Firm Feel bar. The small 'tabs'(4) help hold the poly bushing which is slippery, in place. I could be wrong though!! Let us know what you find out Drew!

I think it's to small for the steering column? I just looked at both my 70 & 72 and thats what I concluded. Both of my steering Column brackets are quite large and have 'flanged' area that protects the wiring loom.

Well if you can't find a use for it then it is just dead weight. Sling it on the shelf and if nothing falls off the car when she is running then you don't need it anyway.

Yea that is what I said but I will make a trip to Mopower Masters today and see if I can stump them

ok it will remain a mystery ,it must be a rogue part gomer and goober threw in the car and I must have thrown it in with the steering column bin :?:
