Thinking of sharing the "Grumpy Old Man" moniker with someone else, Dave?
Better not choose someone who shares his birthday with Chuck Norris, then...

Awwwwww thanks :!:
I've had a smashing day and I've been off work all week so I could spend a bit of time with the ginge and the dog family...........and a lot of time with me Chally
Installed a rebuilt A833 from a 71 Cuda, all new linkage from Brewers, a rebuilt Pistol Grip shifter, new Centreforce clutch, new big dia prop, new Suregrip, and to finish off a freshly painted glass race weight R/T hood...............am I happy?

Sweet Adrian! How does it shift now? I had my 70 out yesterday, drove about 35 miles and got some of the old gas outta there.

Ain't been out yet Eddie, still working out the position of the hood pins on the glass hood, get that screwed down in the morning and then get it out for a shakedown run
I can't wait to stand on the gas at a set of lights and crash it thru the lower gears
Give you a full report as soon as I've done it and done any minor adjustments, cluth is soooo light, I actually thought it wasn't releasing the friction plate it was so easy to move :!:

Went out for a half hour run this afternoon to settle everything in and see what the car feels like.
It's nothing short of incredible, shift is fast, I used the levers with the two slots, clutch pesal is super ligt but far too high, needs adjustment, it chatters a bit on initial take off but once rolling it's a dream.
I can slip the cluth in second for a quick burst across junctions and town driving, no trans whine, it's so quiet, I can actually hear the motor now, and the sound of the motor on the overrun in gear is fabulous.................. well pleased with the result
