Postby drewcrane » 29 May 2011 22:35

These little house finches every year build a nest under my deck, and there nest always falls down and they keep building there ,so this year I put various boxes and also an old snubber plate laying around I thought they would never use that :!: well they did and they love it here are some rough pix as I dont want to disturb them to much :s005:

Yea it is kind of funny , they didnt like the boxes ,but they pick a greasy, dirty old part to make there nest, but they must have liked the stability cause the chicks have hatched and they seem to be very chirping happy :D

Drew you have Tesla's disease!!! I have a Parakeet and Finch bird as Pets but in seperate living quarters. The parakeet laid her 1st egg after 8 years! Finch's have a unique "Mechanical' chirp. Kinda like a Shivy or Phord after starting up!
