(From wikipedia) A mid-mounted transverse V12 engine, dohc, 5-speed trans, monocoque construction.....Makes me drool. It was one of my first dream cars when I was a little boy in the early seventies. A toy car I owned had a flip-rear (opposite to a flip-front) and you could see the engine through the rear screen. Do I need to say any more? It was sensational, if you ask me.

Only 765 Miuras were made between 1966 - 1972. Timewise you can compare it with the Street Hemi engine (1966 - 1971). The 0 - 60 times were similar. Maybe you can look at the Miura as the European answer to the Street Hemi?

Yeah I know. I don't like rules.

In no particular order :
- Chapparal 2C (I'd say 2J for the technological feat, but it's a bit fugly, and I love the Can-Am years)

- the #88 NASCAR 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona

- Facel Vega HK500 (no list is complete without a French Mopar, especially if it's the most elegant Mopar ever built)

- Monteverdi Hai (because a Swiss Mopar with a Hemi is cool too)

- Ariel Atom V8 (all this intage steel is cool, but any list should include a recent car with all the modern comforts...and which can outrun any bike)


Only five?? That leaves no more room for the Cheetah...and what about the Alvis Stalwart for the rainy days? The Ford GT40 MkII???
