Thierry Henry dishonoured the French Fans and the players when he cheated Ireland during the playoff game, :s001:
Im not saying Ireland would have won but at least we should have been given a fair chance.8)

Once to stop it going over the sideline and then again to place it at his foot for the cross in......at the only people not to see it was the ref and the officials.

At least that's one sport where the French are good.

but the 11 Ferrari owners running on the lawn? They should be sipping cocktails at a golf club with their escort girls... The overemphasis on this sport just amazes me. One journalist here started a petition to ask the French team to donate all their gains in that clown show to the amateur football leagues in France... It's rather successful from what I hear!

No Frenchman wants to be associated with the image this team gives (qualified with their hands, only to get their butts kicked! Even our politicians feel they are football experts and offer their advice)

I could care less though, the only sport I watch on TV, apart from the Olympics, is NASCAR.

well i must say that just about all sports are victim of some sort of corruption,or cheating, we have a team here that been to 5 superbowls with a QB named John Elway a sports hero here in this town but one of his famous quotes is"If you aint cheating than you aint trying hard enough"

John Elway cheated? :s022: If he did, he should have been 5 and 0. Not 2 and 3, in the Super Bowl. I didn't think he started cheating until he went fulltime selling car's.

Wayne I think you need to be a bit more sporting like us British.

The French had good luck getting there. That's all. Football always has a degree of good luck. It's part of the game. You wouldn't have complained if teh Irish team had got away with it.

So a bit more sporting please.

England play again this afternoon. If the players do not start playing as they should there is going to be hell on.

I think they are blaming the facilities. No naked girls to snort cocane off and spit roast. It's bound to put you off your game isn't it.

Dave We were robbed. And yes I would have been ashamed if we got there by cheating in the manner Henry used against us.

Remember this guy.

England have never forgotten.........and I dont blame them....England were robbed BIGTIME on this occassion.

That was a turning point but they would have lost anyway. They were beaten by more than one goal.
When a decision goes against you you should be man enough to take it on the chin and not cry like a petulant girl. These guys are highly paid professionals and need to act as such.

England and USA both through to the next stage! :s017: :s019: :s019:

USA were very unlucky with that offside call on their disallowed goal. It didn't look offside to me. :disbelief:

Unlucky USA.

England vs. Germany tomorrow.

England v Germany is a MASSIVE game for us. We are very much old rivals as you might expect. Loosing the world cup is nothing compared to loosing to Germany.

Well I think the last time England played Germany the score was an impressive 5-1 to England...that really hurt Germany...infact I cant recall a time that they were beaten so heavily.

This game will be a cracker........

This game has been ruined yet again by officials errors.....if the goal was allowed it would be a different game....

England had heart, I cheer these players on every week..I love Man Utd...Rooney is class....but as a National team they do not perform....they cannot seem to gel at all.

Germany were clinical on the counter attack....

England were terrible mate.

The defenders never knew where they were supposed to be.

The mid-field players all thought they were on a small 5-a-side pitch and wouldn't spread wide where England are normally strongest for the cross into the box.

Rooney has done bugger-all for England all year and I would have dropped him after the first game of this cup.

Sure England were robbed of a goal and were a bit unlucky not to score more.
But they were more lucky that Germany didn't score even more than they did. The final score could have been a lot worse. :disbelief:

I think I will delete this thread so we can all pretend it never happened. :blushes:
World Cup? What World Cup?
